We are students in a Shen Journalism class that have chosen to blog about the Creation of the "Super Student." We have seen a new trend where students no longer need only perfect grades, but have to actively participate in their community, hold a job, and participate in school activities and clubs. As a whole, we are planning to dicuss the topics of: too much homework, the effectiveness of homework, stress on teens, standardized testing, college planning/ what colleges look for, and the effects a "super student" has on their family.
